What our system collects about places
We read places, not persons. When a client asks about a place and a date, our system reads what open and licensed sources hold for a circle around it, for the days around that date: weather and forecasts, earthquakes, fires seen from satellites, disaster and flood alerts, the outline, time and link of satellite images, works and events published by authorities, buildings and land use from public registers, and news events with their place, time, kind and link. Every fact keeps its source, when we read it, and a grade for how far it can be trusted. A client's own data stays in that client's work and is never used for anyone else.
What we never collect
Anything aimed at a person: who someone is, where they live or go, whom they meet. The names of people in news reports: we keep the event, never the names. Anything about anyone's private life, health, beliefs or finances. Anything behind a login that is not ours, or that a source's terms forbid us to take. What we collect about a place is never turned towards a person, whoever asks and whatever happens.
How long we keep it
Only the days around the date we were asked about, two by default, dropped as they pass, and hourly counts per place that name no one. A client may keep one window as the record of an engagement; nothing else is kept longer. Satellite images are never stored, only linked.
The contact form
The form sends us your name, e-mail address, phone number if you give it, the decision, the region, the period and your message, by e-mail. Nothing is stored on this website. We use it to reply, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering a request or of preparing an agreement, and keep the e-mail for six months after our last contact unless a commission follows.
Server logs
The server records the IP address of each request, to keep the site secure. These logs are kept for fourteen days.
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics, loads no fonts or scripts from others, and contains no advertising or social media pixels. The language is in the address, not in a cookie.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent, at info@aegisbarding.com. You can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
